Moving to the UK involves dozens of small decisions — where to live, what a tenancy contract actually commits you to, which costs are normal and which are worth questioning — usually made from thousands of miles away, in a system you have never used before. Most of the information exists somewhere online, but it is scattered across government pages, forums and word of mouth, and hard to act on when you are short on time or still in your home country. Global Settle was built to bring that information together into practical, specific guidance and tools, so you can make each decision with more confidence and less guesswork.

We work with international students and new arrivals moving to the UK, particularly those who are still overseas when they need to start making housing decisions. Many of our users are coordinating a UK move from mainland China, arranging viewings, contracts and move-in logistics without being able to visit in person.

Our AI tools are built to organise information, run first-pass checks and suggest next steps — for example, summarising a tenancy agreement’s key terms or turning your preferences into a shortlist. They are not a substitute for a solicitor, immigration adviser or other regulated professional, and we say so directly wherever AI output could be mistaken for formal advice. Where a task benefits from local, human judgement — viewing a property, providing Settle Concierge support, or reviewing a complex contract in full — that work is done by a person, and our product pages are clear about which parts of a service are AI-assisted and which are human.

Our editorial and safety standards

Where our guidance touches UK law, tenancy rules or public services, we base it on official and publicly verifiable sources — including GOV.UK, university guidance, Shelter and Citizens Advice — and note when something is specific to England rather than the rest of the UK. Raina Wang, Founder of Global Settle and University College London (UCL) graduate

Global Settle was founded by Raina Wang, a University College London (UCL) graduate with experience in product and user growth at Alibaba’s Alipay and Trip.com Group. Her work has focused on digital products, cross-border user journeys and growth strategy. She created Global Settle after seeing first-hand how difficult it can be to coordinate housing decisions, contract checks and practical move-in tasks from overseas.
